At Skeltron, we are committed to delivering high-quality websites tailored to meet your specific needs. Our process ensures that your website is meticulously developed, reviewed, and launched.
Once your website is live, it’s important to understand how to manage and back up your data to safeguard your online presence. Here’s a comprehensive overview of our backup procedures and the steps you need to follow to protect your website.
Development and Review Process
At Skeltron, our journey begins with creating your website on our secure development servers. This environment allows us to design and build your site with the utmost attention to detail and functionality. Here’s how the process unfolds:
- Development Phase: Our team works to craft a website that aligns with your vision. During this phase, we focus on ensuring that all features and design elements meet your requirements.
- Review and Confirmation: Once the development is complete, we submit the website for your review.
- Going Live: After you confirm that you are satisfied with the website, we proceed with taking it online. This transition marks the point where your website is accessible to the public.
Backup Procedure for Your Live Website
Once your website is live, it’s crucial to take steps to back up your data regularly. Here’s what you need to know about backing up your website:
- Backup Availability: After your website goes live, you will have the capability to back up your site’s data. We recommend that you download and store these backups securely to protect against data loss or other unforeseen issues.
- Backup Tools: For a streamlined backup process, we suggest using tools such as Updraft. This plugin offers robust features for backing up and restoring your site, making it a reliable choice for website maintenance.
- Customer Responsibility: While Skeltron handles the development and launch of your site, the responsibility for maintaining and securing your backups falls to you. Ensure that you download and store your backups at a safe place.

In addition to managing backups, it’s critical to handle domain and hosting renewals properly:
- Domain Renewal: It is your responsibility to renew your domain registration on time. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your domain. Skeltron is not responsible for any issues arising from expired or lost domain registrations. Once a domain expires and is lost, we cannot recover it or restore associated data.
- Hosting Renewal: Similarly, timely renewal of your hosting service is essential. If your hosting service expires and your website goes offline, we will not be responsible for retrieving any lost data. Ensure that you manage and renew your hosting service as required to prevent disruptions.
- Data Recovery: If your domain or hosting expires and you lose access to your website data, Skeltron will not be able to assist with data recovery. It is crucial to manage these aspects diligently to avoid data loss.
Important: Hosting providers send renewal reminders via email when your services are due for renewal. It is crucial to take these notifications seriously to avoid issues later.
Support and Assistance
If managing your website’s backups, domain renewals, and hosting seems overwhelming, you might consider our Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC). This service is designed to help you with ongoing support and management tasks, so you don’t have to handle everything on your own.
We will only be able to assist with maintaining your website’s data if you have an AMC in place. Without an AMC, we do not manage or retain backups, and we cannot assist with lost data due to expired domains or hosting.
Storing and managing data incurs costs. Our AMC includes these services to ensure your website’s data is backed up and maintained.
Summarizing
At Skeltron, we are committed to supporting you throughout. However, we do not retain any data after the launch phase unless you have opted for specific AMC services.
